Clinical consultation · for early career therapists

Consultation with soul (and a little humor).

Starting out as a therapist can be exciting, and also overwhelming. There’s a lot to learn beyond what you get in school: sitting with uncertainty, navigating complex cases, trusting your clinical judgment, and figuring out how to stay grounded while doing emotionally demanding work.

I offer clinical consultation to early-career therapists who want a supportive space to talk through challenging cases, build their clinical skills, and grow their confidence as therapists.

We can talk about the clinical questions that come up in your work: assessment, treatment planning, interventions, boundaries, difficult client dynamics, documentation, and ethical questions, as well as the stuff that comes up for you as a therapist.

Because sometimes it’s not just the case that feels hard. Maybe you’re second-guessing yourself, taking a client’s experience home with you, struggling to set a boundary, feeling overly responsible for a client’s progress, or noticing that your own experiences are getting in the way. Those moments can be valuable opportunities for growth and greater self-awareness.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in curiosity and compassion. My goal is to help you develop your own clinical voice, strengthen your skills, and feel more confident navigating the work, while creating space to be honest about the parts that feel hard.

Consultation may be a good fit if you’re looking for support with:

  • Challenging or complex cases
  • Developing your clinical judgment and confidence
  • Treatment planning and interventions
  • Boundaries and difficult client dynamics
  • Countertransference and therapist self-awareness
  • Anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, or feeling “not good enough” as a therapist
  • Finding your footing in the first years after licensure
  • Building a sustainable, grounded clinical practice
